The short version
- Kate is the only person who reads what you send through this site.
- What you share is used to arrange and provide coaching, and for nothing else.
- Nothing is sold, and nothing here is used to show you ads elsewhere.

OpenKinky is Coach Kate’s coaching practice, based in San Francisco, California. For any question about privacy, write to kate@openkinky.com.
What you tell Kate
The intake form. Your name, and your partners’ names if you give them; your email address; and whatever you choose to say about your situation and goals. Your answers are sent to Kate by email and stored by the company that hosts this website. Share only what you are comfortable sharing. The detail can wait for the session.
Booking a session. When you book, Google Calendar records your name, your email address, the time you chose and your answer to the booking question. Payment is handled by Stripe. Kate never sees or stores your card number.
Email. If you write to Kate, your messages stay in her mailbox.
Emails from Kate. No newsletter is sent at present. If you tick the box asking for emails and Kate starts one, every email will say how to stop.
Sessions and notes
Sessions take place by video or in person. They are never recorded.
Kate keeps brief written notes so that she can prepare for your next session. They are deleted no later than six months after your last session.
Coaching is not therapy or medical care, so the legal protections that cover therapy and medical records do not apply to it. Kate keeps what you share confidential all the same, and would disclose it only if the law required her to.
What the site records on its own
The site uses Google Analytics to count visits: which pages are viewed, roughly where visitors are (a city or region, never an address), what kind of device they use, and how they arrived, including from an advertisement. It does this with cookies. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are not given these cookies.
Advertising features are switched off. The site builds no advertising audiences, and your visit is not used to show you ads elsewhere. To opt out of Google Analytics on every site, Google offers a browser add-on.
The site’s fonts, and the interview videos on the Interviews and Resources page, are loaded from Google and YouTube. As with any website that uses them, those services receive your IP address and basic device details when they load.
Who else handles your information
Only the services needed to run the practice: Webflow, which hosts the website and stores intake forms; Google, for email, calendar, video sessions and analytics; and Stripe, for payments. Each handles information under its own privacy terms.
Kate does not sell your information, and does not share it with anyone for advertising.
How long it is kept
- Session notes: no later than six months after your last session.
- Intake answers and emails: while you are in touch or working with Kate, and removed whenever you ask.
- Payment records: for as long as tax rules require.
- Visit statistics: these are not linked to your name or email address.
Your choices
You can ask Kate at any time for a copy of what she holds about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Write to kate@openkinky.com.
Adults only
This site and Kate’s coaching are for adults aged 18 and over. Kate does not knowingly collect information from anyone younger.

If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it.
